Balance Disorders
Dizziness is a common symptom that may be accompanied by a feeling of instability, lightheadedness, or loss of balance. It is important to understand that dizziness is not a disease in itself, but rather a sign of an underlying disorder of the peripheral and/or central systems responsible for regulating balance and spatial orientation in the body.
An accurate diagnosis often requires a thorough medical history, physical examination, and specific functional tests, including imaging and blood tests.
Treatment for dizziness depends on the underlying cause. This may include a combination of medications, physical therapy, lifestyle changes, and targeted interventions. In certain cases, early medical intervention is crucial to rule out more serious conditions and ensure appropriate treatment.
