First Medicine Day as part of the Autumn University at OVGU Magdeburg
The Fall University is an offer for students in grades 11 and 12, where they can feel like university students for a week and take a closer look at the courses offered by Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg.
This year, for the first time, there was also a “Medicine” theme day—naturally designed to be realistic and authentic on the medical campus.

The Medicine Day was fully booked. The registered students first had a taste of university life in an (adapted) anatomy lecture and gainedMAMBA Skills Lab. Afterwards, they went to the laboratories and extracted DNA from strawberries, for example. This was followed by lunch together in the cafeteria, before the students moved on to the HAM-Nat simulation in the central lecture hall. Finally, they were given an in-depth insight into our degree programs in immunology and human medicine.
It was a day full of impressions for everyone involved.
