How can science specifically strengthen public health services? This question was the focus of the event “ÖGD meets Science” on November 18, 2025, on the UMMD campus. Experts from health authorities, state administration, medical associations, and research discussed how current findings can be translated into effective measures for health protection.

The kick-off meeting for Career Days 2025 at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg marked the start of a diverse series of events focusing on careers, diversity, and successful applications. Over the coming months, participants can look forward to workshops, lectures, and numerous opportunities for networking and exchange.

On September 1, 2026, Magdeburg will be all about nursing care: Magdeburg Intensive Care Day brings together professionals from the fields of nursing, therapy, and medicine. You can look forward to exciting ideas, interdisciplinary exchange, and new perspectives on respiration, working with relatives, and professional policy issues.
